Maintenance typically consists of:
-Filter Maintenance: Our micron filtration svstem catches contaminants down to 20 micron (smaller thanthe human eye can see). Over time, these contaminants wil jam the filter up, reducing water flow in the tuband preventing the system from doing it's job. On average, our customers need to change their filters onthe Core/OG every 6 weeks, and on the Blast every 8 weeks.
-Balancing the Water: Although equipped with UV Ozone (optional on Core model), we recommendbalancing the pH and Chlorine levels in your tub. We recommend having a professional test andrecommend what/how much chemical(s) to use.
-Chiller Maintenance: We recommend cleaning the chiller screens and vents on a monthly basis.
-Water changes: On average, our Residential customers change their water every 6 months or so. Thisvaries based on how you use your tub.
Can l place a SISUKKA tub inside or outdoors?
All of our tubs can be placed indoors or outdoors. lf placed outdoors, we require the tub be placedsomewhere that is not subject to flooding, as this could damage the components.
If placing the tub indoors in a basement or 2nd floor, remember that the tubs are quite heavy and mayrequire a professional mover (especially for the Blast model).
How easy is it to change the water? How often should l drain the tub?
We have desianed all of our tubs to drain in a matter of minutes. All of our tubs come with a plumbedhose-bib, so you can attach a garden hose and drain the tub to wherever you would like.
In residential settings, we typically recommend to drain the water at least every 6 months, however, thismay be more frequent depending on how you use your tub.
In commercial settings or high usage environments, you wil need to drain your tub much morefrequently, depending on use.
To extend the time between water changes, we recommend rinsing off prior to entering the cold tub.Contaminants such as dirty, sweat, oil, lotions, etc will quickly contaminant the water and dirty the filter, which will require more frequent maintenance.
How energy efficient is a SISUKKA tub? What's the cost to run this?
We have designed all of our tubs to be very energy efficient. We utilize the highest quality foaminsulation and all tubs include a well insulated cover, Please check the specs on our product pages forexact power consumption, but on average, you should expect about $0.60-$0.80/day worth of powerconsumption.
